Forklift Carburetor

Forklift Carburetor - A carburetor blends fuel and air together for an internal combustion engine. The equipment consists of an open pipe known as a "Pengina" or barrel, where the air passes into the inlet manifold of the engine. The pipe narrows in section and after that widens again. This particular system is called a "Venturi," it causes the airflow to increase speed in the narrowest section. Beneath the Venturi is a butterfly valve, which is likewise known as the throttle valve. It operates in order to control the flow of air through the carburetor throat and regulates the quantity of air/fuel mixture the system will deliver, which in turn controls both engine speed and power. The throttle valve is a rotating disc that can be turned end-on to the airflow in order to hardly restrict the flow or rotated so that it could totally stop the air flow.

This throttle is commonly connected through a mechanical linkage of rods and joints and every so often even by pneumatic link to the accelerator pedal on an automobile or equivalent control on different types of equipment. Small holes are positioned at the narrowest part of the Venturi and at different locations where the pressure would be lowered when not running on full throttle. It is through these holes where fuel is released into the air stream. Correctly calibrated orifices, called jets, in the fuel channel are accountable for adjusting the flow of fuel.
